Hier kommt Kurt! () – Er ist vielseitig, er ist unverwechselbar, er ist einer der bekanntesten und beliebtesten Künstler Berlins: Frank Zander.
Der Sänger und Entertainer, den viele seiner Fans liebevoll „Franky Boy“ nennen, denkt auch nach über 50 Bühnenjahren noch nicht ans Aufhören. Heute feiert der Mann mit der unverwechselbaren Reibeisenstimme seinen 80. Geburtstag.
Nach einer Ausbildung als Grafiker begann Zanders Karriere als Sänger und Gitarrist der Gloomy-Moon-Singers, den späteren Gloomys. Seine Solokarriere startete er Anfang der 70er Jahre und landete mit Liedern wie „Der Ur-Ur-Enkel von Frankenstein“, „Ich trink auf dein Wohl, Marie“ und „Oh, Susi“ zahlreiche Hits.Mitte der 70er Jahre entdeckte ihn auch das Fernsehen: Gemeinsam mit Helga Feddersen moderierte er die legendäre „Plattenküche“ und schrieb damit ein Stück Fernsehgeschichte. Es folgten schräge Musik- und Comedyshows wie „Bananas“, „Vorsicht Musik“ und „Känguru“.

During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 1965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 19402, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season.
